We are very interested in accesing recent German constitutional law decisions and legal articles in English, French, Italian, Portugese or Spanish.

Dear Mr Thorneloe,

This is the recently created Comparative Law Research Secretariat of the Supreme Court of Argentina. We are very interested in accesing recent German constitutional law decisions and legal articles in English, French, Italian, Portugese or Spanish and would be thankful if you inform us any other site or legal review where we can find this material. For example, in your abstract regarding the Restitution for Business Expropiated in 1945 you mention two decisions of your Court that (of 4/23/91 and 4/18/96) where it declared that the provisions fo Art. 143 Abs. 3 GG were no grounds for challenging the constitutional validity of expropiations by the occupying powers, since they were not arbitrary. We would like to access these judgements. Can you help us? Thanking you in advance for your cooperation, we remain.

Yours sincerely, Mercedes de U.

Thank you very much for your enquiry. I am afraid there are very few materials on the Internet on German Law that are not in German. Probably the best selection for your needs are those on Constitutional Law at the University of Wuerzburg, if you have not seen them already.

I am sorry I could not be of more help.
