I am trying to find some information on the German Court system

Hello,

I am trying to find some information on the German Court system, with limited success. Is there anyone out there who can help me?

The request is as follows:

  1. Total number of judges in Germany
  2. The breakdown across the federal and state courts (number of judges per court)
  3. Salary levels for federal judges
  4. Cost per case in the equivalent court to the Federal Court of Australia. I have looked at your information and I think the most equivalent court is that which exercises ordentliche Gerichstsbarkeit jurisdiction.

Your page was very helpful - thank you.

I hope this isn't too much... I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows where I might be able to find this information.

Thank you sincerely,

Nicola S
Records Manager, Federal Court of Australia
Sydney, AUSTRALIA

Dear Ms S,

I am very sorry, but I can't help you, because I don't have the Information you asked me for. But I sent your message to the German Ministry of Justice. I presume, they may able to help you.

For any farther information about the german court structure, please contact the ministry of justice directly on their web-page. The URL is http://www.government.de/.bin/lay/inland/ministerien/justiz.html

Yours Sincerely, Iris Speiser
